D Day Commemoration 1944 -2014- Saturday 31st May 10.00am – 2.00pm- Yelde Hall,Chippenham

On 6th June 1944 after 5 years of war with Germany, Allied forces landing on the beaches of Normandy began the attack on the German defences. This was the largest amphibious military assault in history and many brave soldiers died. Their sacrifices ultimately led to the end of the Second World War
